Since they were divided at the end of World War II in 1945, the two Koreas have experienced a fluctuating, often strained, relationship, and every generation on either side remembers something different. City Symphonies for the Two Koreas aims to explore these changing currents.

To launch the project, Opera of the Future, with myself representing the group in facilitating the event, has collaborated with 60 young students and professional musicians to perform Tod Machover's Fence-a-Dance near the South Korean DMZ border as a part of the 2018 Lindenbaum Festival. Led by violinist Hyung Joon Won, Lindenbaum works under the slogan "One People, One Harmony" to seek peace within the Korean Peninsula and furthermore the entire world.
